From the season 2022, the WDC will award their World Championships by the following method.
A world series of competitions from around the world.
The athletes have the chance to win there local events. Their best lift at these championships will also be their World Championship lift. Which will be sent to the WDC to be included in the World Championship Final Results.
The final World Series event will be held in Scotland every November, with the rest of the local Global WDC Sanctioned championships being held before November and their results sent in to the WDC.
Lifters from all countries can attend and compete at any WDC World Series Event and post their best score towards us finding our WDC World Champions.
This system saves our athletes money and time travelling around the world to a single World Championship Event.
But those who wish can still enter the final World Series Event in Scotland if they wish one last try to post their best World Championship qualifing lift.
Local Gym owners, lifters and promoters who would like to put on a sanctioned WDC World Series event should contact the WDC on Instagram.
